Christopher Titus - The 5th Annual End of the World Tour
by Matt

The world is coming to an end. You, your family, your friends, everybody: we're all gonna die. Eventually. It's a sad (apparent) fact, but we just have to deal with it. With something as catastrophic as the end of the world, it's best to have something to refer to to help you deal with things.

An artist's depiction of the post-apocalyptic world and totally not a scene from The Matrix.

Christopher Titus's "The 5th Annual End of the World Tour" is an end of the world manifesto for the rest of us. Crazy, homeless street preachers can only do so much after all. An actual end of the world maniphesto is not only a handy reference tool for such an event, but also a great ice-breaker for parties.

For those of you who don't know, Chris Titus had a pretty cool show on Fox a few years back and has been doing stand-up comedy even longer. And he's pretty damn good at it. It takes a person with such a specific background to make an end of the world manifesto that works so well. Let's face it, at least half of the world's population isn't looking forwards to the end of the world. So what better way to make people less put of by the world ending than to make jokes about it?

Titus covers topics from the government, 9/11, the war, diseases, the church and his daughter, all terrible, terrible notions that normal folk like you and I would never want to think about. And the best part? You don't even have to read! Yes, that's right, no reading necessary. Reading the newspaper for important information is SO 2006. Titus makes it easy on all of us by recording his maniphesto on a 2 CD package. He even went so far as to do a live reading to an audience while recording. What a swell guy.

Titus being swell.

So if you're at all concerned with the coming doom that is the world ending, or just want a good laugh, check out Christopher Titus' "The 5th Annual End of the World Tour" CD. And start stocking up on duct tape.
