Joe Rogan's Shiny Happy Jihad
by Kris

One highlight is the way J. Roge dealt with a couple of people shouting in the crowd. A woman, most likely fat, yells some inaudible exclamation she pieces together. J. Roge snaps and calls her the bitch word, startling her obese ears. Which gives me a warm feeling.

J. Roge moves onto more middle east material, constantly shouting "bitch" and "jihad" which stretches an "oh j. roge" type frown across my face. I'd have to say, without my long-winded introduction, you'd think that J. Roge was an experienced mediocre comedian that can almost make you grin.

He cartwheels his materials subject from Middle East to doing fat chicks. The two most pressing issues of the new millennium. Before I know it, he is prattling on about teaching children to masturbate.

J. Roge's delivery is energetic which is a plus. As far as being controversial, he's kind of going to the stuff that offends no one. Good? Bad? Only Miss Cleo knows. J. Roge educates the audience on why gay sex is funny. When you hear his voice you don't picture him kicking anyone in the face which is a real put down. He mentions some slightly humorous things about penguins. I giggle thinking about J. Roge spin-kicking a penguin.

I have to say I can't enjoy his standard comedian type of material. It's sort of like the "What's the deal with ________?" Kinda thing.

All and all, I wish Joe Rogan would spend more time uppercutting things, and less time making bad impressions. I've gathered a list of comedians he would be compared to:

George Carlin
Eddie Izzard
Steve Martin
Keanu Reeves
Ryan Seacrest
Geico Commercials
Blues Clues
Dave Navarro
Homeless People
Totally Spies
HBO Family
Jenna Jameson
Fire Ants

I'd recommend listening to it, but buying it would be your gamble. I think J. Roge is almost funny, but just barely misses the mark like a cross eyed kid playing wack-a-mole.
