Revamped: Part 1!

I'm guessing this next scene happens the next day or something, but there's literally zero exposition to tell us otherwise. Richard helps his wife put a necklace on while she's getting all whored up for a night out on the town. Not with Richard, though, of course.
Get ready for our first uncomfortable makeout scene!
She's loves you, Richard! DUH!
This is an amazing scene. That little "duh" was the like finding the holy grail. And did you notice the little awkward pause she took as she swallowed before she said her line? That was her swallowing what little pride she thinks she has before making out with a creepy guy twice her age. She's obviously a wonderfully talented actress, but was most likely cast just so Mr. Rector could tongue joust with a sort-of-attractive, dumb blonde.
Oh, and the whole shot was done with their fat heads still in the camera. This type of fantastic directing can be seen all over the movie. Watch the scene again but don't look at the reflection. It's that much more creepy!
